Script

This feature is only available in the Professional and Enterprise versions of our software.

This feature allows you to write scripts to enhance the capabilities of our software.  Our software is written in Java.  The Script language is also Java.  This allows you to use some of Hitek software functions which are documented for use in Scripts (see example scripts).  Additionally, you can use all the Java functions. 

Example Scripts
Example scripts are located in the 'example_scripts' folder within the main install folder.  Please read the examples scripts. Use the 'Examples' button.   Our website will also have more examples of scripts that you can use.

Creating a Script
Type in the script in the upper text window.  Create small scripts for each task.  Each script should be less than 50-75 lines.  This will help in debugging.   Please read the examples scripts provided, using the 'Examples' button.   Our website will also have more examples of scripts that you can use.

Testing a Script
Click on the 'Test Script' button.  Errors or Output will be displayed in the lower text window.

Send For Review
You can send your script to Hitek Software for review. 
1) Send an email to support@hiteksoftware.com
2) Subject = Automize script review request
3) Write a brief description of your script.  Explain what you are trying to do.
4) Copy and paste your script into the email message.
5) Copy and paste any output from your Test into the email message.
NOTE: This is a free service for licensed users ONLY, for small <30-50 line GENERIC scripts.
NOTE: A GENERIC script is something that can be posted to our forums, is generally very useful, and can be used by other users with slight modifications.
NOTE: Larger customer specific scripts will require a separate contract. Cost is a $ per line with a minimum of $200.
